Qualifications.
Before children enroll at The Grove, they must be three years old and fully potty-trained. Children need to be able to go to the bathroom outside or in a portable bathroom. There are no indoor bathrooms.
-
The best fit.
We’ve found that children who thrive the best have a sense of adventure, love getting dirty, and have the ability to communicate their feelings without crying. For example, “I have to go to the bathroom” or “I’m cold.”
FAQ.

Yes! This includes not wearing diapers or pull-ups. Because we are a fully licensed outdoor school, the state requires all children to be able to potty-trained in order to attend. Teachers will give ample opportunities to go to the restroom but children need to be able to vocalize their need to go to the bathroom.
Teachers can assist if needed.

Children can use our portable bathrooms or, for those who are comfortable, go to the bathroom outside in a designated area.
